  • LONG WAY HOME

August 17th, the Q Brothers Collective (GQ, JQ, Jax & Pos) released their long awaited studio collaboration with the world renown Chicago Children's Choir, LONG WAY HOME. An urban re-imaging of Homer's The Odyssey, it features more up to 100 gorgeous voices and runs a wide musical genre gamut from Blues to House to caribbean-style Pop to Gospel and, of course, Hip Hop! With big beats and beautiful voices, it's a banging parable that the whole family can enjoy. Download, stream it or share it with your friends wherever you listen to music!

  • STEP KIDS

A one-act musical I wrote with Tyrone L. Robinson about

a group of seemingly unconnected high school students who find common ground in their school’s competitive step dance team. They experience the joy in finding their tribe. STEP KIDS was commissioned for the First Stage Theater (Milwaukee) Amplify BIPOC Series. Premiering October 2 and available to stream October 11 - December 5.

    THE RAP PACK

    RELEASE DATE: JUNE 24, 2021

    AVAILABLE THROUGH: AUG 31, 2021

The Rap Pack: GQ, JQ, Jax & Pos

Written and composed by Gregory Qaiyum, Jeffrey Qaiyum, Jackson Doran, Postell Pringle

THE RAP PACK (link to https://youtu.be/Ed5eHopVY44) is an experimental hip hop cabaret developed by the four members of Q Brothers Collective. It is an anachronistic smash-up of the old variety show, and contemporary experimental hip hop--blending singing, rapping, dancing, sketch comedy, and theater. The Rap Pack has thousands of subscribers on YouTube where they make digital sketches and music videos as well as their Tuesday night series where they collaborate with uniquely talented artists from all over the country and across musical spectrum, creating an original song in 90 minutes.

Show warning: This production contains adult language and content and is intended for mature audiences.

We are grateful for the anonymous sponsor who generously underwrote the GHOSTLIGHT SERIES and for their ongoing support of Theater Latté Da.

THE RAP PACK is available as part of THE GHOSTLIGHT SERIES.

This virtual cabaret is available to enjoy through August 31, 2021.

  • Q Brothers Christmas Carol...is getting published!

  • Moliere In The Park

Throughout this “pandemic year,” when virtually all live theater and music concerts came to an abrupt, uncertain halt - I’m grateful and thrilled to have been invited to collaborate with Moliere In The Park, the Brooklyn-based theater company co-founded by the brilliant Lucie Tiberghien and driven by the tireless motor Garth Belcon. Their mission “is to bring high-caliber English language productions of Molière’s timely plays, as well as carefully chosen contemporary plays that focus on language and question today's world through the lens of history, to Brooklyn’s Prospect Park annually, and the online theatergoing community, free of charge.” This new enterprise has been a trailblazer right out of the gate in ‘live’ production both virtual and in-person. In a year of shut down, MIP had the sheer gall to deliver inspired storytelling like the USPS - neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night nor global pandemic stays these couriers of art from the swift execution of their appointed dopeness. I’d like to give them their roses when they are here to receive them. MIP projects I’ve been privileged to be part of, thus far:

    One

    Two

    Three

    Four

To Lucie, Garth and their whole squad...merci les potes.
