_The Man

Postell Pringle [aka POS] is a seasoned 20-year veteran of the stage, the lens, the pen and the microphone...And he’s just warming up. A critically-acclaimed performance artist, Pos takes a multi-disciplined approach to art. Based solely on an urge to fuse a love of stagecraft, visual and oral storytelling, folklore and hip hop music. Just as David Chang flips a southeast Asian noodle dish using NYC street cart ingredients, Pos is dedicated to creating new works by breathing life into a dusty, old cannon. The result: a transportive, historically rich, delicious trip. Family-style. No reservations necessary.

He’s an actor, performer, rapper, music producer, playwright and occasional director and choreographer. He hails from Decatur, GA. He resides in ‘do or die’ Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn NY.

_The Music

“Skilled in the trade of that old boom bap”

- Q Tip of ATCQ

Pos has performed and independently released hip hop music since his solo debut LP, The Good Thief. Boasting a discography of nearly a dozen albums and mixtapes, in 2020 he successively dropped 5 new singles, culminating in the indie release of his first solo studio LP in almost a decade, Hot Sauce From Hell. Download his entire catalog, solo & collaborative, and on all streaming platforms.

_The Band

The Rap Pack (fka The Retar Crew), has toured statewide and internationally since it was co-founded in ‘09. They’ve released five LP’s and close to a hundred music videos, music-comedy sketches and more. During ‘the pandemic year’ of 2020, they launched a self-produced weekly live stream webseries, following postponement or cancellation of all their gigs. Season 1 of [Tuesday Night Live with The Rap Pack] is an intimate look at how their distinct brand of alt-rap is constructed. Piece-by-piece, it’s a musical exploration, from an idea to songwriting to production to mixing. An utterly fresh, spankin’ new track is birthed every episode. In seasons 2 and 3, a litany of phenomenal guest musical artists joined in on the act. Musicians and songwriters whose genres range from ‘world’ music, to 60’s soul to bhangra to dark indie rock to neo-pop to 90’s house music to #SpaceAgedGangstaMuzik. No sound is too ‘out-of-the-box’. In fact...there is no box. Within each episode The Pack shoots the $h#t with their musical guest, musing on beats, art and life. They then create a complete original collaboration that is posted for free stream/download on The Pack’s [Soundcloud]. The result is invariably an earworm of a tune, often hilarious but unequivocally unique. “We make the funny and it still bangs in the truck.”
